The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin took part in the signing of the Agreement of Intent on the implementation of projects in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the production of the main axles and cast iron for trucks.
The document was signed by Roman Sklyar, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sergey Kogogin, Director General of PJSC “KAMAZ”, Archimedes Mukhambetov, Akim of Kostanay region and Nurlan Baibazarov, Chairman of the Board of “DBK-Leasing” JSC.
The above projects are the first and strategically important steps in the development of the automotive component base of Kazakhstan’s automotive industry with the involvement of key global manufacturers of automotive components in the market of Kazakhstan.
As part of the implementation of the Agreement it is planned to establish plants for the production of special equipment, bridges and cast iron. An Engineering Center for the development of technical personnel competences, advanced training and re-training of personnel, which has no analogues in Kazakhstan, will also be organized. The engineering center will allow to prepare high level specialists for different branches of Kazakhstan.
The agreement is aimed at creating modern high-tech bridge and casting production in Kazakhstan. At the same time, technologies that meet the best international standards in the field of ecology and environmental protection will be used. It is worth noting that the products manufactured at the plants will be 100 percent export-oriented and will eventually be supplied to the global world chain covering all regions of Russia, the CIS, as well as to the German concern Daimler AG. In 2018, the German group became a shareholder of the company.
More than 2.5 thousand new highly qualified jobs will be opened in the course of implementation of the Agreement.

PJSC “KAMAZ” is one of the world’s top 20 manufacturers of heavy trucks and ranks 16th in terms of production volumes of heavy trucks with GVW over 16 tons. Production capacity is 71 thousand vehicles per year.
The group of organizations of PJSC “KAMAZ” includes 109 companies in Russia, CIS and far abroad. In 2018, the German concern Daimler AG (Mercedes Benz) became a shareholder of the company.
